We are thrilled to share that our 3rd Generation Tree Farmer Hope will be a North Central Iowa Ag in the Classroom teacher. She will do great with her strong agricultural background growing up in North Iowa! This is a great program sharing all about agricultural in Iowa!

NCI AITC has hired two new instructors for the 2026-2027 school year and we'd like to introduce you to them!

First up is Hope Gunning, a native of north central Iowa. Hope and her family run Carlson's Christmas Tree farm outside of Hampton, IA, making her a third-generation Christmas tree farmer! She is also a newlywed and she and her husband are busy settling into their new life together. Hope remembers learning from NCI AITC about embryology and hatching chicks when she was in school! Hope says she can't wait to get into the classroom to teach students about ag!

Please join us in welcoming Hope to the NCI AITC team! 👏🏻

🍂🌾 There’s just something special about fall on an old farm! 🌾🍂

The Harriman Nielsen Fall Festival is all about old-fashioned farm fun and bringing generations together. ❤️ From pumpkin picking and painting to homemade pie, family pictures, visiting and sharing stories of days gone by.

As three generations of Carlson Tree Farmers, we love being involved in our community and being part of special events that create memories and bring families together. ❤️

There’s just something pretty special about keeping those traditions alive! 🍁

Little did Dennis know that the Learning Tree Lodge he build on his tree farm when his Grandaughter was 10 years old, would become a dream place for her to get ready for her wedding in. We transformed the space into a beauty & makeup salon with yummy coffee & homemade breakfast to start the day off right! 3 generations of women getting ready together in the lodge was perfect. Then to top it off, Dad's 1st look at his daughter in her wedding dress was right outside of the lodge! Priceless Memories were made on the CarlsonTree Farm! ❤️
