While we’re all sitting around watching radar and counting our animals to make sure they’re safe from the storms and measuring hail… I wanted to take a moment to share a new creation I have for the Split Rock Farm Bakery!
I’ve always wanted to create flights of Bread, which gives an opportunity for you to try different flavors in smaller quantities. These loaves are about half the size as a standard loaf and so cute and package up nicely and are great for gatherings or parties or just to eat for yourself.
I tested this out yesterday and took my standard bread loaf recipe and cut each loaf in half to make six mini loaves. Pictured is a cheddar loaf, two plain loaves, a blueberry cream cheese loaf, a cinnamon sugar loaf, and an Italian herb loaf. I put a sweet, a savory and a plain loaf in a one package so you have three flavors to try.
These are coming soon, and if you’re interested in sampling some of the first few batches, send me a message as I’d love to make you a flight of Bread.
I love to create new things and putting together new options for my customers is so much fun, I enjoy testing out new ways to bake and create. As always, I bake with all organic ingredients to include a heritage organic flour, which is more digestible by those with gluten sensitivities. My sourdough is long fermented, which helps people to break it down more easily too.
