I have had a life long love of the weather, keeping a diary of daily weather and a growing obsession with all things weather. 8:00 pm update Monday

Up to 0.43 inches of rain in North Hampton through 8 pm.

That equals our rainfall so far this month.

For those not liking this wet week, some heat is coming, just at or just prior to the 4th of July, but it won’t last and the 4th of July weekend looks cool to me.

Forecast update Monday June 22 to 23

A warm front will push rainfall into the Seacoast area by 3:00 pm.

Precipitation continues, light to moderate to occasional heavy rainfall likely sticks around until late in the day on Tuesday.

The forecast has shifted heavier rainfall further north - but models struggle this time of year and are far less reliable than in winter.

Primary reason is convection (t-storms) which shape how these summer lows behave.

But one inch of rainfall for all of rockingham county is possible, potentially more.

Northern strafford Carrol county northern York county, belknap county, grafton county all could see up to two inches of rain.

Crazy - Batchelder buttons planted last summer - were raring to go despite being under 2 feet of snow.

As an annual I was surprised they grew with such purpose this spring.

Maybe they just seeded themselves from last year.

Sunday update

Once again as the day wears on, clouds will fill in like yesterday, most see no shower while some get one.

Models remain spread on late day Monday into Tuesday rain.

The high resolution models have shifted most of the action to our north while global models remain focused on central and southern New England.

The blend is your friend? Blend of the models. Still a good chance for an inch of rain which at least at the coast we could use.

Is this hinting at a rainy summer?

Or is it hinting at a tropical depression?

Weekend update

Both Saturday and Sunday are nice with a chance for a late day shower with a higher chance Sunday.

Monday into Tuesday is shaping up to be a soaking rainfall with the potential for up to 1 to 1.5 inches of rain, but still time for changes though for more than 2 weeks this has been on modeling.

More rain is possible the end of next week as well.

Tornado watch until 7 pm

Image shows the line of severe weather and it is that line where a tornado is a threat.

It has to warm and the fact is that it’s a 2 % chance.
