Barn swallows can nest in some really inconvenient places, but they are so interesting to watch every summer as they come back from their migration all the way to South America to nest and raise babies in this old NC barn. This guidebook has been so helpful in identifying local birds and I love what it says about the barn swallows. Imagine making your summer home with 1000 mouthfuls of mud. Now THAT takes some perseverance. 😋

Baby Blaise, now at almost two and a half, isn’t such a baby anymore, but he still goes in and out of the pasture as he pleases. This may be a spoiled sheep. 🤔🤔🤔

Hay Y’all!!! Hayfest 2024 is just around the corner!!!
We are planning to pick up hay next Friday afternoon, 5/31, after lunch.
This is our annual Hayfest event that feeds the farm animals for the next year and we need help!
We need folks who can pick up square bales, but also trucks, trailers, drivers, counters, packers, directors, and junk-talkers.
