Greengold Acres

Greengold Acres is a 90 acre working farm located in rural Hanna City Illinois. Our farm practices organic and sustainable farming.

It was established in 1985 by Scott and Cheryl Webb. We are a multi-generational operation. We raise a variety or animals including angus cattle and heritage turkeys. We also have a wide variety of chickens that lay a rainbow of different colored eggs. Along with the animals we have organically raised produce and fruit from our orchard and garden.

Greengold Acres will be at the Canton Farmers Market in Canton, IL. tomorrow from 7:30-11:30 Saturday 6-15-24. We will have produce, eggs, baked goods, and meats. Stop by and see us!

Last week, I took the starter from our 1956 Farmall 300 to Harvey Brothers in Galesburg, IL. Harvey Brothers rebuilds generators, starters, and other automotive and agricultural electrical components. Little did I know, this was one of the last starters the company rebuilt before closing their doors. We have used Harvey Bros. for 40 years and 3 generations at Greengold Acres. We wish them a great retirement! The newly refurbished starter is now bright red and at home on the 300.

Market season has started! Come see us at the Farmington Farmers Market (located at the YMCA) from 5-7PM every Friday, and the Canton Farmers Market (located at Jones Park) from 7:30-11:30AM every Saturday. There will be more produce as the season goes on, aswell as my moms homemade breads, herbs, and our amazing jams. Thank you for supporting your local farmers.

Hay season is rapidly approaching! Which means its time to get the hay equipment ready for the year. The Case 8430 baler is getting a new belt and some other maintenance before it starts popping out 4x4 bales in a few weeks.
