One of the hardest things to handle as a small business is the negative comments (from years ago, before you renamed and took new ownership), especially when you are trying to grow your business.

Recently, I (Kelsey) posted our name to a community page for someone looking for local beef, chicken, and pork. A man (who will remain nameless) badmouthed us from an experience he had years (and I’m talking 10+) ago. I responded, apologizing for his experience and explaining we are under new ownership. Obviously he did not care because that negativity seemed to define him. While it rattled me, I chose to turn the other cheek, and let our reputation and awesome customers come to our defense. However, it does concern me that comments like that (not only to our business but to other small businesses) could potentially hinder customers giving us a try over someone else with bigger names.

Think about this; has a large business ever messed up an order? Most likely! Would they apologize? Probably not!

Throwing our name out there and being vulnerable is hard, especially if you are the one who is doing it (we do not have a social media coordinator; Glen and I literally do every job). So next time you feel like a small business did you wrong, please reach out to them directly (not bad mouth on social media) and talk through it. And remember, no one is perfect. Be kind.

The 24 hour drop off cooler is on and stocked with cut sheets and tag numbers!

•same process as previous years! (Fill out sheet, tag your deer with one of our tags - make sure you put that number on your sheet!! - we’ll call or text you with questions and when it’s ready to pick up)

•donated deer for our local food banks are accepted! — tag your deer with a plain white tag located in cooler!

We look forward to seeing many of our regulars as well as new customers this season! 🦌🏹

Can you help us spread the word? It has come to our attention that a certain advertising/website company we used in the past has posted on our unaccessible (to us) website that we are “permanently closed”. This is FALSE!!

We do not use a website (but our awesome friend and customer Lacey French did make a basic website for us so Google doesn’t think we fell off the face of the earth);
all advertising and information is on this page ONLY.
