Evenings like this are good for the soul. 🖤 Watching the kittens wrestle and chase each other while the chickens peacefully graze around the yard… it’s the simple moments that make this little farm feel like home. 🐈🐓🌿

How many cats is too many cats for a farmhouse? 🤔🐈

We’re currently up to 14 cats, and honestly… I wouldn’t trade our crazy little clouder for anything! ❤️ They keep the mouse population under control, always make us laugh, and each one has their own personality.

So tell me… how many farm cats do you have? At what number do you officially earn the title of “crazy cat farm?” 😂🐾

One thing’s for sure… we definitely don’t have a mouse problem! 🐭🚫

We are so excited to welcome these beautiful babies to Timbuktu Backyard Farm. We can’t wait to watch them grow, show off their gorgeous coloring, and become part of our flock. Every new life on the farm is a reminder of why we love this lifestyle so much.

Welcome to the farm, little ones! 🥰

It’s amazing to look back and see how much our garden has grown in just a few short weeks. We’ve been loving the rewards of all the hard work—fresh tomatoes, carrots, peas, radishes, beets, and summer squash have been making their way to our table almost every day! 🍅🥕🫛🫜🥒

Today we even sampled a few celery sticks. They’re so close to being ready, and they already taste incredible! There is just something special about walking out to the garden, picking dinner, and enjoying food you grew yourself.

We can’t wait to see what the rest of the season brings! 🌿❤️

Our young pied peafowl Kingsly is already practicing its display, proudly fanning those tiny feathers like it’s the king of the farm. Every majestic peacock has to start somewhere! 💙✨

It’s hard to believe these two were tiny little fluff balls just a short time ago. Every week they change a little more, and it’s been so fun watching their personalities come out. The white peafowl is becoming absolutely stunning, and our pied peafowl is starting to show off more of those beautiful markings.

We still have a while to wait before we know if we’ll get those long, spectacular peacock trains or beautiful peahens, but either way, we’re enjoying every stage of watching them grow.

We can’t wait to see what they’ll look like a year from now! ❤️

When we bought this place, it was mostly dirt, overgrown shrubs, and a whole lot of dreaming. It’s hard to believe this is already our third summer in our forever home. Looking back at where we started (bottom photo) compared to where we are today (top photo) is so rewarding.
