We've heard lots of good things about our Tate Cattle Company steak burgers lately!!!

Then again, when you make burgers out of actual steak, that's probably bound to happen.

So if you're having trouble deciding between grilling steaks or burgers this summer, we may have a suggestion..... 🥩🍔

The pigs and cattle aren't the only things growing up around here. The kids have spent years following us through barns, carrying pigs, asking questions, and learning how things work.

They've also spent years eating the pork and beef we raise.

That's probably why we spend so much time thinking about nutrition, genetics, and breeding decisions for our livestock. When your toughest critics are sitting around the supper table every night, the details tend to matter a little more.

We appreciate the commitment to science, Marcus! Couldn't have said it better ourselves:

"Where in the world can you cook an entire package of bacon and sausage that looks like this, cooks like that and only renders that small amount of fat?

No where else but Tate Cattle Co. right here in Breckinridge County!

The only apparent shrinkage is in one particular piece of sausage. However, I feel the bite marks will give the culprit away!"

The smell of sausage frying in the morning is hard to beat. But did you know the few minutes it takes to fry sausage are actually the shortest part of the process?

Years of genetics, breeding decisions, nutrition, and management go into producing quality pork at Tate Cattle Company.

We're probably a little too obsessive about it, but if we're going to feed it to our family and yours, we figure it ought to be the best we can make.

The frying part is easy. The rest takes a little longer.

School’s out. The house is loud, the schedule is different every day, but supper still has to happen???

Just throw a Tate Cattle Company chuck roast in the crockpot before you start your day and call it handled.

Feel good knowing you’re feeding your family quality beef raised right here in Breckinridge County. We raise our cattle from start to finish on our family farm, paying close attention to genetics, nutrition, and doing things right the whole way through.

And if it buys you even just five quiet minutes, TAKE THE WIN!!

Crockpot Chuck Roast:

- 1 Tate Cattle Company chuck roast
- Potatoes
- Carrots
- 1 onion
- 1 packet ranch seasoning
- 1 packet brown gravy mix
- 1 stick butter
- A little water or beef broth

1. Cook on low about 8 hours, or until it falls apart. DUN!!

(A big supper that feeds the whole house without much thinking is pretty handy this time of year if you ask us)
