From Nancy:

We are so incredibly grateful for the extra time we have been given with Ed since his diagnosis. We have made many wonderful memories that we will treasure forever. We realize that is a gift that not everyone receives.

His cancer has reappeared this time in his spine. His body is no longer able to tolerate the radiation treatments. It is time to focus on quality of life and making the most of the days and months we have left.

He tires quickly so visitors are a bit much. He does enjoy getting phone calls if they are not too long and loves getting cards. If you would like to say something to him, this is the time. Our address is 618 Houston Hill Road, Hardwick VT 05843. If you wish to call, pm me for the number and to check if he is up to a chat.

Thank you all for prayerfully walking this journey with us. ❤️

🧡Update 🧡

We had a tough meeting with Ed's doctors on Friday. It’s the kind of news you never want to hear — the word “incurable” was used. The presentation of one of the myleoid sarcomas is rare and difficult to treat. While we always held onto hope for a different outcome, we now know that our time with him is limited.

His pallative care team is so kind and compassionate and recommended that Ed do things that bring him purpose and meaning. We’re shifting all our efforts to helping him live as fully and comfortably as possible in the time he has left.

If you feel led to help in any way — whether it’s a kind word, a prayer, a share, or a donation — we are deeply grateful. Thank you for your continued support. ❤️

🧡 Update 🧡

I am so incredibly grateful for the love and support that has come through so far. Every donation, kind word, and share has reminded me and my family that we’re not alone in this.

As we continue on this journey, we still have a long way to go to reach our goal. Your support—both financial and through sharing Ed's story—means everything. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, or on social media with a description of how Ed has impacted you. Every single share helps us reach someone new who might be able to help.

This isn’t easy to ask, but every share, donation, prayer, and check-in does not go unnoticed. If you have another way that you would be willing to help, please reach out to me directly!

Thank you for being part of this with us 🧡

Dear Agape Hill Family,

Over the past 15 years literally hundreds of you have visited our farm, met our llamas and been a part of our lives. It has been an amazing opportunity and we have enjoyed every part of it.

As many of you know, Ed was diagnosed with AML last February. We are happy to report he is in full remission, back to work and regaining strength. We quickly realized we would not be up to opening this summer, but were not sure beyond that. We have thought and prayed and discussed and have made the difficult decision to close the business part of our farm. This year took a lot out of us both and we need to direct our recovering energy into our family.

We still have animals on the farm. Nancy is already scheduled to teach a felting class in Morrisville over the winter. We may do some special events in the future. Keep an eye out on the page for shop items listed for sale!

Thank you to each and every one of you for loving on our llamas and supporting us in this great adventure. Let the next chapter begin!

Love,

Ed and Nancy

We are sad to announce that we will not be able to open the farm for the 2022 season. Our family has experienced a medical emergency and we need to come together for support and healing.

This has all been very sudden and there is a lot we still do not know, but we wanted to let everyone know early for vacation planning.

We will miss you all. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Meet Lenny and Lexi! We are excited to welcome them to the farm. They will be ready for trail walking next summer!
