I recently learned more about what is happening with domestic violence, r**e crisis, and human trafficking organizations, here in our area. Some centers have already closed, and others are struggling to stay open because of the lack of funding.
Although I’m not a Midwife or Attachment parenting instructor anymore I raised 6 children as a widow and understand hardships woman have to face specifically single parenting, but have also heard my fair share of DV and SA stories over the years. My heart is still all in for any cause supporting woman and children.
Two Roots Rising will be vending at an event on October 9th & 10th raising money to support Safe Night Ministries, and I want to do more than simply show up and sell.
So, starting today and continuing through October 10th, I will be setting aside $0.25 from EVERY sale made through Two Roots Rising to make a donation to this cause at the event.
I know a quarter does not sound like much. I'm a small and fairly new business, and still working toward being able to fully cover mine, Carabella’s and the buisness’s monthly bills and expenses while staying stocked for markets. I’m making a donation to set up but I’m not in a position right now to make a larger donation but would like to.
I feel I am in a position to raise a bit more.
And I believe that when a lot of people each give a little, the little amounts can add up to something significant and helpful.
So when you purchase a cake, bread, treat, tea, or anything else from Two Roots Rising between now and October 10th, you aren't just supporting our life we are building here at Two Roots Ridge, our small business and my daughters college but you'll also be helping me put a little more back into a cause that helps women and children who need support.
If you'd like to learn more about what is happening and why these type of organizations need our support see the link below.
Thank you for helping us build our business, and homestead in this community as well as helping us support a cause we care about.
Rooted in Tradition. Rising with Purpose.

We have been posting a lot of content about support from individuals, churches and businesses. This photo post shows the lack of government funding other domestic violence organizations are experiencing. We have not received government funding as we are faith-based. Yes! We speak Jesus to our clients AND it works. We depend on donations and fundraising to keep our shelter and our outreach programs open. If you aren’t supporting our work, please consider doing so.
