To our dearest Brickyard Orchard family and friends,
It is with great regret that we inform you we are closing the doors to Brickyard Orchard this year. We have been trying to spread the word since spring, but we thought we ought to follow up with those of you that haven’t heard the news.
When Louis Jensen, my great-grand-father started the orchard nearly 80 years ago, he probably never dreamed it would become what it has. I wish he and my grand parents, Bill and Ethel, could see how their son, and my father Bill, evolved the operation in his own rite. Grandpa, would have been amazed with my Dad’s ingenuity and creativity to keep the business going in the new millennia.
This decision has been tough for Kathy and I, and the rest of our family. We spent the last 15 years working with Bill helping him transform it, and when we acquired the orchard in 2012, we knew it would be a challenge to manage it. Well, to use the words of my beloved wife, “life happened” and the only logical decision is to close the doors.
We want to say thank you to the faithful patrons of the orchard over the decades. You are an extended family who allowed us to be part of your lives by putting quality fruit, juice, cider, and pies on your table to share with loved ones during our wonderful fall and winter seasons. Perhaps the legacy can live on in your hearts as you sit around the Thanksgiving and Christmas table recalling those tasty pies and cider.
It has truly been an honor to serve our close friends and family, and we wish you the very best. God Bless you all!
The Campbells, Bill, MaryBeth, Kevin Sr., Kathy, Austin, Shena, and Kevin Jr.
