We wanted to take a minute to share what’s next for Sunny Seven Local Market.

Closing the storefront isn’t the end, it’s simply a change in how we’ll serve you.

The reality is that the overhead of maintaining a retail storefront, combined with the slim margins in the grocery business, just wasn’t sustainable. Between rent, utilities, and the day-to-day costs of operating a physical store, it became clear that we needed to make a change.

At the same time, our wholesale apparel business has grown far beyond what we ever expected. We’re incredibly grateful for that growth, but it also means we need a space that’s designed for production rather than retail. Trying to balance both businesses under one roof just wasn’t working.

So where do we go from here?

Sunny Seven will continue on in a different format. We’re transitioning to a warehouse-style operation with online ordering, convenient pickup, and local delivery options. We’ll still be focused on bringing you the products you love—just in a way that makes more sense for our family and our business.

This isn’t goodbye. It’s a pivot, and we’re genuinely excited about where it’s leading.

Thank you for supporting us through every chapter. We can’t wait to show you what’s coming next. Stay tuned, we have some exciting things in the works.

Well friends, we’ve decided to close the doors at Sunny Seven Local Market.

We had an opportunity to get out of our lease, and with the cost of the building and utilities, it was the right decision for our family and business.

We still have some coffee, soda, and meat left. If you’re looking for something specific, send us a message—we’ll let you know if we still have it! Eggs will continue to be available for pick up at our home here in Harlan. Just send us a message!

Prepared In a commercial kitchen. Hobo dinners minus the sweet corn. About 40 prepped and cooked still in the foil. Will freeze really well, tastes delicious cold, obviously can reheat for dinner tonight too!
