This is a super busy time of year for us with summer / fall harvests and planning our winter crops, but sometimes we just take a moment to enjoy the simple beauty that surrounds us here at Root & Branch Farms. This delicate blackberry flower is a reminder of all the delicious goodness that is still to come! We’ve been enjoying fresh berries since June, and we anticipate having them in season for several more months!

Here’s a list of what we currently have in season:

✨ Crop Update + Input Requested from Our Customers! ✨

Fig season is starting (yay!!), raspberries are still going strong (we anticipate having them until late October / early November), and blackberries are entering their second “wave” of the season. We have LOTS of other summer and fall produce still to come, but at the same time, winter prep is officially in full swing at Root & Branch Farms! 🌱

These baby bok choi seedlings are almost ready to head out of their trays and into their new beds in our greenhouse. Right behind them, we’ve got fresh batches of cold-hardy kale, winter lettuces, and crisp Napa cabbage on the way.

✨ BERRY AND FIG PLANTS FOR SALE ✨
Can you believe it’s almost the end of August?! Fall is right around the corner, which means it's almost the perfect time for planting certain fruit trees and crops for next year. Getting fruit plants in the ground during autumn gives their roots plenty of time to establish over the winter, setting you up for strong growth and delicious harvests come next season.

Farming is our main operation here at Root & Branch Farms, but we are actually a registered plant nursery as well! Right now we have potted blackberry (pictured), fig, blueberry, and raspberry plants available for sale. Call 704-325-2515 with questions about sizes and pricing, and to reserve plants for your home garden or homestead before our nursery inventory runs out for this season!
