Phemeranthus teretifolius is commonly called Appalachian rock pink or Appalachian flamethrower. It is a small native succulent to the foothills and mountains of North Carolina. It like gritty, rocky hot sunny places. It is drought tolerant. Its friends ate commonly native sedums and Eastern Prickly Pear. It liked to open in the sun in the heat of the day and will re-bloom many times until cooler weather . Worlds well in a rock garden even in a pot with rocky sandy soil with s very minimum of any organic matter. Pinkish Lavender blooms . Very heat, tolerant and drought, tolerant and cold tolerant if given the good drainage it had in its homeland. A true North Carolina native.

Ipomea hederifolia is an annual vine native to the southern states especially states along the Atlantic Coast down through Mexico and South America. While many Horticulture experts read books and do explore far away places. I grew up working in Fields full of plants in North Iredell working in the heat of Summer getting rid of weeds and other things. This plant was noticed by me many times coming up and growing, climbing on one of our trees and plants. Loved by Butterflies larger than its smaller sized Morning Gory Blooms and by Hummingbirds by me working in those fields. It can grow to perhaps 10 feet and bloom through the summer and be visited by many of our beneficial pollinators. We will offer these for sale ready to plant shortly. https://fsus.ncbg.unc.edu/main.php?pg=show-taxon-detail.php&taxonid=5008
