I sold 15 ducks on Saturday, so yesterday afternoon I cleaned the duck pen and made it smaller. Hopefully mother goose will calm down and let everyone back in soon…. Right now the sneak in when she’s down by the creek with babies.

Mother goose has 8 ducklings! They are adorable. And the goats are enjoying the woods I fenced off today.

Today I trimmed hooves, and also tested Carmel and Fudge to make sure they are pregnant. They are! So we have Blossom due April 22, and Carmel, Fudge and Cocoa due June 12. Blossom’s babies are sired by Cookie Monster (mini alpine), and the other 3 were bred by Mr. Bingley (Nigerian dwarf). Hoping for at least 2 does to retain for my mini alpine breeding program.

Big changes have happened at the farm! I got married almost a month ago, so now all the animals are relocated to Harmony...

Big changes have happened at the farm! I got married almost a month ago, so now all the animals are relocated to Harmony, Minnesota!
We should have duck eggs available again by the end of the month, and our first doe is due April 22, so milk should be available again beginning of May.
