Meet the newest member of the farm, Glenn!

We went to hangout with some friends in Owensboro yesterday and they live in a neighborhood that has a lot of strays. This big boy had been hanging out at their house for a while, and they arenā€™t cat people, so of course we had to bring him home!

You ever have chickens and realize they justā€¦ decide to die for no reason?

Full food. Fresh water. Safe coop. Living their best little farm lifeā€¦ and then one day they wake up and go, ā€œActually, no thanks,ā€ and thatā€™s it.

No warning. No symptoms. Just vibes and poor decisions.

At this point I donā€™t raise chickens, I just provide end-of-life accommodations with snacks.

RIP to the 3 hens, 1 rooster and 1 duck we lost this week.

2 hens couldnā€™t stay off the road so they are now roadkill, the duck and rooster just fell over dead, and 1 hen had a prolapse that was too bad to save.
