Looking for an easy way to add mushrooms to your breakfast? Add them to some carmelized onions and throw in your eggs. Today we use Pioppino. We cooked the stems separate and sauteed them in butter and Dan-Os Original. They have an almost asparagus like crunch with that classic umami flavor. So good!!

We love Princess Pearl oyster mushrooms. A mildly umami flavor and tender texture with a slight, meaty bite. They are about as versatile as you can get in terms of oysters. Great with pasta dishes, casseroles, egg scrambles etc. If you have't tried them yet, then you probably havn't been by my booth at the Charles Town Farmers Market, WV. Give 'em a try, you won't be disappointed. Also in stock at Bushel & Peck and available for local delivery.

We have some beautiful Blue Thunder and Italian Oysters available. Some of these will be headed to Bushel & Peck tomorrow. The others will be available for sale and I do local delivery in Charles Town and up here on the mountain so feel free to reach out if you would like some. What started out as a very wet and soggy morning turned into a great day at the Charles Town Farmers Market, WV. The rain went away and the customers found their way in. Yet another sell out. A couple of new customers found us by word of mouth from friends and family...we genuinely thank you for helping our small operation grow. Back at the mushroom cave, we are adding a third fruiting chamber to help us keep up with demand. Lamby continues to turn great sales for her new fall candle line...fall scents captured in little glass pumpkins. They smell fantastic...come by next weekend for a sniff. 😀

Cheers to another great market...sold out once again. We are seeing so many repeat customers and still cont. to meet new people as well. We love it when new customers who have never tried oysters or lions mane or the like, want to try something new. And we of course, love our familiar faces who trust us to provide them with quality ingredients for their dinner tables. And today, Deb sold alot of candles with her new fall pumpkin shapes that really caught people's attention.

These Blue Oysters here were brought to you by Amazon. Shredded packing paper from Amazon deliveries mixed with Soy Hull. We took these photos a little bit ago and forgot to post them. Ran the paper (which is one continuous piece 6 feet long or more) thru a shredder. What better way to recycle. The block ended up in the compost pile as well.
