Stone Hollow Farmstead A sustainable farm, Stone Hollow Farmstead is home to Hanoverian Stables, the Stone Hollow Creamery, Botanikō Skin Care and the Stone Hollow Cannery.

Stone Hollow Farmstead was founded in 1999 by Russell and Deborah Stone and their two daughters Fallon and Alexandra. Deborah grew up in a family of gardeners and farmers, and SHF allows her to share that heritage with her family. Her parents and both sets of grandparents raised cotton, as well as vegetables and flowers. Many of the flowers found at Stone Hollow Farmstead originated in Deborah's great-grandmothers' gardens. Deborah’s grandfather Carl Bland raised cattle for meat and dairy products, farmed cotton and vegetables, and owned the local grocer, Bland and Bland. The produce department within Bland and Bland grocer featured the seasonal harvest from local farmers. “Buying local” was simply the way it was, and preserving the harvest was a necessity. Carl’s wife Bertha and daughter Sylvia were the family artisans who preserved the bounty of fresh fruits and vegetables for their family. Today, Stone Hollow Farmstead houses several diverse but farm-related businesses: Stone Hollow Creamery, Stone Hollow Hanoverians, Botaniko Skin Care, Stone Hollow Cannery, and Stone Hollow Herbs, a certified herb processing facility that produces culinary herbs and herbal extracts for cosmetic manufacturing.

A little woodland magic for the holiday season.

Our collection of natural pinecone wreaths has arrived, and they are truly exquisite. Rich in texture and beautiful in their simplicity, each one feels like a gathering of treasures from the forest floor.

Some are left in their natural, earthy tones, while others are finished in a soft antique gold that catches the light ever so beautifully.

The sort of holiday decoration that feels collected rather than decorated. Timeless, wonderfully organic, and just as lovely hanging from an old cupboard as it is welcoming guests at the front door.

One of Alexandra’s most beloved scents of the holiday season: Black Spruce.

Deeply woodsy, wonderfully green, and quietly nostalgic. Notes of fresh evergreen needles, crisp resin, and warm, earthy woods bring to mind a winter walk through the forest, where the air is cold and the evergreens are fragrant.

There is something so beautiful about a scent that feels unmistakably like the holiday season without being traditionally festive.

Apparently we’re not the only ones with a little Christmas spirit in October.

The last beautiful weeks of our beloved dahlias are upon us, and with them comes that wonderful feeling of one season giving way to another.

There is something especially lovely about this time of year. The garden is offering its final abundance, the air is turning crisp, and just as we begin to say farewell to one of our favorite seasons, the anticipation of the holidays begins to unfold. A little bittersweet, but so much beauty in both.

We’re at the Pepper Place Farmers Market this morning with a gorgeous gathering of happy dahlias, absolutely loving this first taste of cooler weather. Find us in the Farmers Lot until noon!

Just a few steps away, our FarmStand has undergone a little seasonal transformation. Our incredible team has been busy bringing the holidays to life, and there are some truly special things waiting to be discovered this year. We cannot wait for you to see what they’ve been creating.

With school in full swing and temperatures beginning to drop, a little extra care belongs in our everyday routines.

Farming is not for the faint of heart.

Some days, a season’s worth of care comes down to securing the last support and hoping it holds.

This morning, we’re deeply grateful. Only a few dahlia plants were damaged in the storm — a tremendous blessing for our farm and everyone who has cared for these fields throughout the season. So much beauty remains, and we don’t take that for granted.

Our thoughts are with our coastal neighbors and everyone navigating the storm’s aftermath. We hope you and your loved ones are safe and able to access the support you need.

We’ll be open today at our Homewood location from 11 am to 5 pm, opening late with fresh flowers ready to bring a little brightness home. FarmStand Pepper Place will be closed, and the Pepper Place Farmers Market is also closed today.
