There’s no career that teaches you the reality of this verse quite like farming. You spend months doing the hard work, often without seeing any immediate reward. It takes patience, early mornings, late nights, and a whole lot of faith to keep pushing forward when the weather or the markets throw a wrench in the plans. But when you look out at a ripe stand of wheat right before harvest, it all makes sense. The proper time always comes if you just keep your head down and don't give up. 🌾

The best time of the year is quickly approaching!

Harvest is a massive team effort, and we’re excited to get rolling. The combine is cleaned up and just about ready to roll. 🌾

Stay safe out there.

Up with the sun to get a jump on the day.

Running the WEED-IT this morning. Those red lights are sensors scanning the ground 40,000 times a second using near-infrared light to look for chlorophyll in living plants. Because the system uses its own active light, we can run just as accurately in the dawn shadow or pitch black as we do in the middle of the day.

Spot-spraying like this cuts our total herbicide volume by 70% to 95% depending on w**d pressure. It keeps our input costs down and prevents us from hammering the soil with unnecessary chemistry where there aren't any w**ds.
