We have a garden, an apiary (honey bees), an apothecary, and a whole lot of homesteading knowledge to pass along! Jelliwood farms is a small organic homestead with our own pretty little creek and backed by more than 200 acres of privately owned woods where I practice gardening, foraging, beekeeping, wildcrafting, and a slew of other homestead skills that I would be happy to share with you! I can a
lso teach you how to sew, can and preserve your bounty, and identify many edible and medicinal plants and mushrooms among other things. We also make space to practice physical flow and flow arts, visual arts, woodworking and metal crafting, and music. If you would like to get involved at Jelliwood Farms, host your own workshop or seminar, or come for a tour, please reach out! Please close all gates immediately after walking thru them. Two of our dogs are not kid friendly, the pomeranian and the tan terrier, and the terrier doesn't like most adults, either. You may bring your dog if you clear it with Bean or J first. Part of our yard is fenced and our dogs are primarily dog friendly.
2. Don't park all the way in the yard unless specifically directed to do so! The entire front yard is a flood plane and we'll just have to push you out later. Parking on the house side of the bridge is by request and is otherwise for loading/unloading only.
3. Jelliwood Farms events are not "go hard" events. Although we won't begrudge you a little drink/smoke/etc, please respect other's participation and our home.
4. Don't touch the electric fence around the apiary! It's rated for bear and you won't like it!
5. You may enter the house to use the bathroom. It is just inside the kitchen door (by the breezeway inside the dog fence) and to the left. Peeing behind the barn or in the bushes is acceptable, just watch for poison ivy ;)
