Notes: Waimea hop is a newly bred variety with some amazing sounding flavor characteristics:
"Meet Waimea, New Zealand’s jack-of-all-trades. It wasn’t always this way—Waimea was bred for its bittering potential, not exceptional flavor and aroma. Yet this high-alpha hop is full of pleasant surprises, bursting with intense fresh tangelo, citrus fruit and pine needle character."
This with a gentle touch of Cascade's notorious grapefruit character and Columbus' big dank, heavy hop hit should put an absolute TON of flavor in a tiny 4.3% ABV package.
I also have changed to using this Kolsch strain with my hoppy beers as the clean Kolsch-Like character allows the hops to shine. Raise a glass to Oglesby Ale...coming soon, to Blue Meadows Farm.
