Revitalized by the Soldatke family, this proud veteran-owned farm is nestled in the heart of Harrisburg, South Dakota, and is committed to excellence in organic farming. Bin An Oan began in Byron Center, Michigan as a family run orchard and market in the 1960s. Abe and Ellie Moerland started the family business and preceeded to have their children and grandchildren work in the orchard and market planting, weeding, harvesting, and cleaning produce. Whenever her grandchildren asked, Ellie Moerland would explain that Bin An Oan (Pronounced Bin-On-Waan) means "Garden of Peace" in the province where she grew up. Bin An Oan Farm & Gardens is a labor of love and tribute to our family, tradition, and preserving what we have been given. Join us for this next generation in Harrisburg, South Dakota!

🌱✨ Big garden progress this week! ✨🌱

Getting all the organic seedlings transplanted that I started in the greenhouse, and it feels so good to see them settling into their new home.

What started as tiny sprouts under glass is now taking root out in the garden!

There’s always a little leap of faith when moving them outside, but everything is looking happy so far—soaking up the sunshine and stretching out. ☀️🌿

Excited to watch it all fill in over the next few weeks. Nothing better than seeing hard work (and a little patience!) start to pay off. 💚

Just a few of our adolescent turkeys soaking up the good life at Bin-An-Oan Farm 🦃✨

Lined up like they’ve got somewhere important to be… but really, they’re just enjoying the view (and maybe waiting for snacks 👀).

The turkeys are officially ready for summer ☀️ 🦃 and we kicked off planting season today! There’s something special about getting seeds in the ground and watching a new season begin. Here’s to long days, fresh starts, and hoping for a strong crop ahead! 🌱🌾
