Update- Bull has sold.

We have a really good Fair N Square black angus bull out of a Niagara dam. This 17 month old bull is heavily muscled, short haired, has a very calm disposition and walks on great feet! He passed a recent semen test with flying colors. Ready to go to work for spring breeding

While we were feeding our young bulls yesterday, I had to get a quick video of them patiently waiting for their feed...the temperament in this set of bulls is incredible!

Today was our annual square baling day! I wouldn't say that we "enjoy" it but it is fun to put in a little work "the way it used to be done." This square baler was bought new in 1979 by my late grandpa Jimmie Daniels and is still running without an issue today. There is no telling how many bales have went through it! My dad was sure proud to pull the baler into the field again and work side by side with his grandkids. Farming is tough but it is so rewarding. My boys did a great job helping load the hay and my beautiful wife drove the truck. Making hay for your future genetics!

Had another big day yesterday...Andrew raked hay on his own and he was so proud to do so. All of our boys have really stepped up this year to help on the farm and it is so rewarding to watch them get a passion for helping make the farm successful. I never dreamed how proud I would be to see the boys working on the farm like they are. There are just a few years between the pictures below...but it feels more like a few days. Love our boys!

Update: heifers are headed to a new home!

Good morning! We have around 5 head of heifers that we are going to "send to a different home". They will make great cows with their maternal breeding. 2 are black baldies and 3 are AI sired black angus. They will be a year old in September and ready to breed in December. They have been weaned for 60 days and had shots. Message me for more info if you are interested

Yesterday was a good day for SFF! We flushed Y54 who is almost 13 years old. She is the epitome of what we are striving for- highly functional, fertile, excellent feet and udder and a sweet personality. She gave us 10 embryos that we will implant this fall. She honestly looks like a 5 or 6 year old. The mating sire was SAV Rainfall.

We are all about creating profitable genetics that go to work in the Ozarks!

When a winter storm is coming and most of your hay is stored outside...you gotta get the netwrap off before it freezes solid with ice. Oh, what we do for cows! We unwrapped 24 bales tonight to get ready for this week.
