Jessie's Run We're a 10 acre property with a 70'x155' covered arena, stalls, LQ hook-ups, outdoor obstacles, round

Just a reminder, with all the rain, that we allow haul ins. You're welcome to use the covered arena for a couple of hours (if you need the arena for a larger chunk of time and/or for several riders, let us know and we can work something out) for a $10 haul in fee. The rideable area of the arena is ~75 x 125.

If you're looking for a good one, here he is! This is Micky's first canter in a larger arena. Picks up the correct leads, no shenanigans. Obviously, he's still green, but this boy has a really good brain.

“Jaggers Full of Cash”, known around the barn as “Micky”, is a 2022 grey gelding by the stallion “CodyMovesLike Jagger”, out of a “Dash for Cash” bred mare.

Still looking for his next home. :) He's now being trained/ridden, so we'll have a sale ad at some point. I just really like this head shot of him so wanted to post it.

I was watching a video a few days ago of a rider showing how "bomb-proof" the horse was (banging a piece of metal while in the saddle). The problem was, everything about the horse SCREAMED stress. Yes, he stood there...braced and flinching, everything tight and worried. Not sure what that rider had done to convince the horse to stay in place, but whatever it was, it wasn't good, and eventually, the situation would be a bad one.

All that to say...we have Micky in training with Jay Jones (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100047793602562) and this is one of Micky's first rides under saddle. It's not "flashy", it's not dramatic, but I love that you can see how relaxed Micky is while figuring it all out. Thanks Jay!

Micky still has legs for days. ;) He's out for training right now (thanks Aly and Jay!) and he's already so much more relaxed with Jay. This video is the 2nd time anyone has sat on his back. He's pretty chill about it.

Farrier day! Couldn't ask for a nicer day for it. Sunny and not cold! We joke that we don't need to hold our horses for the farrier...we really don't. Micky is still available if anyone is looking for a new gelding! He's the horse I should have had when I first starting riding again 20+ yrs ago (instead of my opinionated, dramatic, and reactive mare) and as much as I like him, I think my riding days are over. :(

Seeing if there's any interest in our AQHA gelding, Jaggers Full of Cash (Micky). Turned 3 in April, but he's taking his time to mature (even the vet said he looked more like a long yearling at his last appointment). ~15.1, likely to mature around 16H. Up until the last few months, he really has looked like a baby, so he's not been started under saddle yet. :\

He's UTD on vaccines, farrier care, etc. Has the basics...leads, trailer loads, stands for vet/farrier/fly spray/dewormer, is handled regularly, but not overly desensitized. Usually out in pasture, but also stalls well.

If you're interested, you're more than welcome to come work with him to check out his temperament, ground manners, etc. Again, he is NOT under saddle yet. If you're looking for a horse for speed events, he's probably not the one. ;) He's a good-minded quarter horse with a very willing attitude.

Pictures are from today, just a quick photo session in the pasture and arena. I'm NOT a photographer, so keep that in mind. Also, in the picture of his hoof cleaning, that's a brush on his butt. We're lazy...our horses have to hold their own grooming tools.

Edited to add pic of his papers.
