Our family cares for around 100 head of beef cattle, grows hay, and plants over 10 acres of pumpkins each year. We welcome nearly 25,000 visitors annually—including more than 5,000 students who come to learn how plants grow, how we care for our

animals, and, of course, to pick the perfect pumpkin! Home of the Virginia Pumpkin Festival, we also offer a corn maze, pumpkin patch, and seasonal fun all year long—spring, summer, and fall.

Pumpkin planting time! First round of hay is mowed down. Summer is here.
FYI we plant a cover crop of small grain in the fall to help with soil erosion over winter. The added bonus is that when we plant our pumpkins through it, the stalks provide us with much needed mulch that helps cut down on weeds and retains moisture.

It's drizzly today and we've closed the farm for play. Buddy is still on the lookout for bunnies and squirrels while babies in the pasture are enjoying a nap. I wish I could have been close enough for the phone to pick up this baby bull's snoring!
