As people, as parents, as business owners, Bryce and I want to be very intentional in all we say and do. We don’t want to be careless or light-hearted or irresponsible with the things God has entrusted to us. We want every decision, every word, and every action we take to reflect the values that are important to us and that ultimately reflect the goodness and glory of God.

We want to use this space to spotlight those values with those following along on our journey or trusting us with their attention and their skincare routine.

Integrity is first because it’s a pillar and non-negotiable for our family and our businesses. Honesty, transparency, trust all stem from the calling to do what is right, good, pure, true, noble, fair, just. In a culture that values profit, convenience, self, and comfort, we want to be set apart and challenge ourselves and our kids to live differently and choose God’s design and intentions.

Did you Know?….

Starting a new series, so I can share all the ways our family uses tallow (besides the obvious ones)!☺️

Favorite tallow mom hack: since lavender is a natural bug repellent (especially for mosquitos, ticks, and spiders), I’m constantly putting our lavender whipped tallow on our arms and legs before going outside! If we do happen to get a bite, lavender also relieves itching!

Mahlon is setting up his own lemonade (and cookie) stand today at The Red Barn. Come on out and see him!

He did the research himself on the cost of all ingredients and materials needed (including the signage) went shopping with his list and budget in mind, bought what he needed, came home and started making and baking it all!

When our Hallowed Homestead accounts were disabled during verification, it felt like losing a piece of the community we’ve been building since the day we found tallow.

But we’ve learned from generations before us that when something is lost, you gather what remains, give thanks, and begin again.

We’re still here, Bryce and Melanie, raising our children on the same land our family has tended for four generations, crafting tallow skincare with intention, simplicity, and reverence for what God provides.

If you’ve trusted us with your skin, your support, or your story, we’re deeply grateful. We hope you’ll follow us again as we rebuild this space with the same heart we put into every jar.
