Off the Eaten Path is a series of road cycling events in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia that pairs our passion for riding bikes with our love of local food and drink. When ridden consecutively, each ride increases incrementally in mileage, culminating with a century (100-ish) mile) ride at the end of the season featuring multiple stops to rest, eat, drink and enjoy life with your riding mates.

Join us for one, several or all of our events this year, each starting and finishing at one of the valley’s finest local farms or vineyards. All events include a pleasantly challenging group ride of varying distance followed by an authentic farm-to-fork supper prepared by local caterer Taste. Each meal is made from fresh, local ingredients and paired with our favorite local beverages.

The region surrounding Showalter's is a tough area to find a route that doesn't contain any gravel, but we think we've come up with a great loop for you all. We are still determining which direction would be best for this route, so stay tuned on that. Here's the link to Strava… https://www.strava.com/routes/6570260

To kick things off, Showalter's Orchard and Greenhouse (and home of Old Hill Hard Cider) is going to be our first host for Off The Eaten Path! The Showalters are VERY stoked to have this event on their family's farm, and we are just as excited to have our first event there! The setting is perfect… a long farm table set amongst the apple trees, with string lights over head, music playing, and a delicious farm-to-fork supper prepared by local caterer Taste. A Food Company, and filled with fresh, local ingredients.… it's going to be an event you won't want to miss!
