Our very own Chris Kurzweil, the man who wears about a hundred different hats around here, is featured on the cover of the October issue of Meatingplace Magazine!

From opening a little butcher shop in 1995 to rebuilding after a devastating fire, this article shares a whole lot of the history, hard work and heart behind Kurzweil’s Country Meats.

We’re pretty dang proud of Chris and the entire Kurzweil’s crew. What a cool opportunity to share our story and the people who have helped make it all possible!

Kurzweil’s is the new BBQ partner for the Garmin Kansas City Marathon Finish Line Festival!

On October 17, we’ll be at Theis Park serving a free pulled pork sandwich to every runner after they cross the finish line Garmin Kansas City Marathon. Safe to say we’ve got a LOT of pork to smoke. 😂

We’re excited to be a small part of such a big KC day!

Our friends at Peculiar Golf are now stocked with Kurzweil’s Snack Sticks - singles & 4-packs in plenty of flavors!

Chris even plays in their winter leagues, so we love this local partnership. Next time you’re hitting a few balls, grab a little protein before you make your way to the Tiki Bar. 😂

You might know us for the 30+ flavors of brats, the snack sticks, bacon and a meat case that makes it hard to leave with just one thing… but pork chops? They go way back.

When the Kurzweils family started raising hogs in the early ’90s, pork chops were one of the products that helped lay the foundation for what would become Kurzweil’s Country Meats in 1995.

Fast forward 30+ years, and our smoked pork chops are still one of the things we’re known for… thick, smoky, juicy and made the Kurzweil’s way.

Some things don’t need reinventing. They just need a spot on your dinner table. Stop by the Meat Market and grab a few to take home!

Our snack sticks & summer sausage have been FLYING off the shelves lately… and we get it. 🙌🏼

They’re the kind of thing you always want to have on hand (road trips, lunch boxes, tailgates, hunting season, the snack drawer… you name it!)
