We hatched 33 straight run barnyard mix chicks and Marans chicks on Monday January 27th. Marans are $7 each and barnyard mix (mostly leghorn and Ayam cemani mixes) are $5 each if puchased before they are fully feathered. Price goes up the older they get. If you get roosters and cannot keep them you can rehome them back to me. No refunds, but if I have pullets available I will give you a pullet for every 2 young roosters brought back. We are not as young as we used to be. This beautiful litter of puppies will be our last. Prices have been reduced. Female is $1200 Males are $900. They have had all 3 puppy vaccinations. They come with a goody bag with everything they need to transition to their forever homes. Let me know if you are interested.

I am not in a competition with anyone but myself.

I have been doing this homesteading thing for right at 10 years now and I know well how burn out can creep up. I pick and choose what and how I do things for maximum efficiency and for the sake of my own sanity while being a mother, wife, teacher and a farmer.

We all find what works best for us and our families through trial and error over time. We literally can't be it all and do it all! It's too much! Don't be afraid to pivot when necessary.

Do I know everything, oh heck no! But I am always willing to share my experiences and answer questions when I am able. It might take a minute for me to get back to your message as I am ALWAYS burning the candle at both ends, but I gladly will take a minute or two to respond when I can. 😊

I think it’s time to go back to school. Ummm. Recently a family member and a friend asked me why I blocked them. I was confused. I checked just in case and there were no blocked people on my list. Then I see this. Hmmm, I am not the only one. So now I am fixing my blocked posts. I wondered where everybody had been! This is good to know. It's ridiculous to have over 300 friends and only 25 are allowed to see posts.
I ignored this post earlier because I didn’t think it worked. It WORKS!! I have a whole new news feed. I’m seeing posts from people I haven’t seen in years.
