Owen had a great year as well!

Dog show day he placed 1st in his livestock interviews, 2nd in showmanship, in 3rd in Rally.

The market lamb show he placed 2nd in his class and got 9th place two times for Rate of Gain.

Owen also participated in the Livestock Scramble where he placed 1st in his heat and won 4th overall with his age bracket and won $25.

Although we did not show in the Andy Kennedy Memorial Show; Owen completed an essay to win a $200 scholarship for improvements to the farm.

All in all a good year for Owen as well!

With the show portion of fair being over let’s post some success! My daughter showed up on Saturday morning to show her dog at fair, entered the show ring 2 times and she WON both of her classes (Beginner Novice A and Rally Beginner A)!

Monday was the goat show where she placed 4th overall Dairy Market Goat.

Today was the born and raised Goat show where Addy got Reserved Grand Champion Dairy Market Goat AND 4th Overall with the other goat!

All in all a great year for her 1st year showing!

Tomorrow we will feature Owen and his success this year!

When you walk outside and see a baby lamb on the ground, you count the babies over and over and can’t seem to figure out why there is 1 more than what you had earlier in the day then try to figure out from whence they came from.

A completely unexpected surprise waited us this afternoon. We thought we were done lambing for the year until this little one decided to make an appearance. We are still scratching our heads trying to figure out how, what, when and where this momma could have been exposed to the ram as she we did not intentionally turn her out with the rest of the mommas earlier this year.

None the less we have a healthy ram lamb born!

We added a couple new animals to the craziness a coupkr weeks ago. Our daughter’s first year in 4H and she did not want to show sheep. She wanted to show goats. Welcome Nibbles and Valtenio, 2 Nubian Wethers. Completely different personalities than the lambs.
