I was just trying to cool my big Belgian girl down… and apparently spraying her RIGHT IN THE FACE is where the party’s at. 😂

Look at those big ol’ lips wobbling and wiggling! She absolutely LOVES it. ❤️ There’s just something about a horse who completely trusts you to spray water all over her face that melts my heart.

Honeybee may be a BIG Belgian Draft, but apparently she’s just a giant baby who wants her face sprayed with the garden hose. 😂💦

Eleanor & Ruby are my two Tamworth pigs… and apparently, they have made it their personal mission to know EVERYTHING I’m doing on the farm. 😂🐷🐷

Checking the animals? They’re there.

Working in the field? They’re there.

Walking across the farm? Yep… right behind me. 👀🤣

These farm pigs follow me everywhere and have to investigate every single thing happening at The Devine Homestead.

At this point, I’m really starting to question who is actually entertaining whom. 😂

Maybe I’m not their farmer…

Maybe I’m their favorite TV show. 🤣🐷

I have a problem… and I need your advice. 😂🐴

How exactly am I supposed to tell this beautiful Belgian Draft horse NO when she looks at me like THAT?!

Honeybee has apparently discovered that a sweet face, big innocent eyes, and a little bit of charm can get you pretty far around here. 😂

And honestly… I have no defense.

I asked Honeybee to simply run past the trail cam…

Apparently, that was WAY too boring. 😂🐴

Instead, she gave us THREE completely different performances:

🥇 The Sassy Slide — full-speed running with a little slip-slide at the end like she totally meant to do it. 😂

🥈 The Bronco Betty — running, kicking, and apparently auditioning for a rodeo nobody invited her to. 🤠🐴

🥉 The Horsefly Hustle — that fast, sassy walk that says, “THERE IS A FLY ON ME AND I AM NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT.” 🪰😂

Eleanor and Ruby | Tamworth Pigs

I looked out my window and thought, “What in the world is floating in our pond?” 😂

Floating potatoes? 🥔
Kentucky hippos? 🦛
Two very relaxed Tamworth pigs? 🐷🐷

Yep. It’s Eleanor and Ruby. 😂🌊

These two Tamworth heritage pigs have apparently decided that the pond is their personal summer resort, and honestly… I can’t blame them.

The best part?

THEY HELPED SEAL THE POND. 😂

Tamworth pigs are known for being active, hardy, intelligent heritage pigs and excellent foragers. Ours have also discovered that their digging, rooting, and general piggy activities can have an interesting effect on the ground around a pond.

And now they get to enjoy the fruits of their labor.

They dug.

They rooted.

They worked.

And now?

They float. 😂🐷🌊

Meanwhile, I’m standing upstairs watching two giant red pigs peacefully bob around like they booked an all-inclusive vacation at The Devine Homestead.

Honestly, Eleanor and Ruby…

10/10. No notes.

Honeybee | Belgian Filly This is what building trust with a horse can look like. 🐴❤️

When Honeybee first encountered the zero-turn mower, she was scared. And honestly? I don’t blame her. It’s loud, unfamiliar, and looks pretty intimidating from a horse’s perspective. 😂

So instead of forcing her to “get over it,” we took our time.

A little distance.
A little patience.
A little reassurance.
And a whole lot of letting Honeybee make the decision to come closer.

The goal wasn’t to make her stop being afraid.

The goal was to teach her that she could be afraid and still be okay.

And then came my favorite moment…

In the final clip, Honeybee walks up to the mower on her own, takes a sniff, checks it out, and then comes over for some well-deserved good-girl scratches. 🥹🐴❤️

That moment wasn’t really about the mower.

It was about trust.

Trust in her human.
Trust in her environment.
And trust in herself.

These little victories may not look like much to someone watching from the outside, but anyone who has built a relationship with a horse knows just how BIG they can feel.

Good girl, Honeybee. You did it. ❤️

Honeybee-Cam | Belgian Draft Filly Honeybee has a very important morning routine… and apparently I’m just the staff. 😂🐴🍐

Every morning starts with a little love, a little attention, and of course… a treat.

Today’s featured item on the Honeybee breakfast menu: PEARS. 🍐😂

There’s something so sweet about these quiet little routines with our animals. Horses thrive on consistency, and Honeybee knows exactly what to expect when her human shows up in the morning.

She knows the footsteps.
She knows the routine.
And apparently… she knows when the treat bag is coming. 😂

Having a bad day? Same. 😂

But then I remembered I have a 600-lb Tamworth pig named Eleanor who apparently believes breakfast is an Olympic sport. 🐷💨

One minute she’s standing there like she has absolutely nowhere to be…

The next minute she spots breakfast and suddenly this giant red pig has places to GO and people to PASS. 😂

I’m not saying Eleanor actually goes 45 mph…

I’m just saying my phone camera barely had time to process what happened. 💀🐷💨

Nothing cures a bad mood quite like watching a 600-lb pig launch herself toward breakfast with the urgency of someone who has been personally informed that the buffet is closing in 30 seconds.

Honestly, Eleanor… I respect the hustle. 😂
