Dear Harrodsburg Community,
As summer draws to a close, D&P is excited to announce our reopening for the upcoming hunting season. Starting September 6th, we will open for bow season check-ins, with custom processing services available beginning October 1st. Our facility is ready to handle your harvest with the highest standards of care and efficiency.
We are proud to once again partner with the Hunters for the Hungry program, a vital initiative that addresses food insecurity in Harrodsburg. Approximately 12.7% of our community—nearly 13 out of every 100 residents—faces uncertainty about their next meal. Many of these individuals are hardworking adults forced to choose between paying bills and buying food.
This year, D&P aims to donate 4,000 pounds of venison—roughly 100 deer—to provide nutritious meals for our neighbors in need. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our friends, families, and community members.
To encourage participation, we’re hosting a raffle with exciting prizes, including trail cameras, hunting gear, ammunition, and Kentucky Gun Club gift cards. The drawing will take place on the Monday following the close of the modern rifle season. Here’s how you can participate:
Donate a deer to Hunters for the Hungry and receive two raffle tickets.
Bring a deer for custom processing at D&P (starting October 1st) and receive one raffle ticket.
Harrodsburg, let’s come together to support our less fortunate neighbors. Your contribution can provide sustenance and strengthen our community’s bonds. Join us in making a difference—one deer, one meal, one neighbor at a time.
For more details, please contact us or visit our facility starting September 6th for check-ins or October 1st for custom processing. Together, we can ensure no one in Harrodsburg goes hungry.
Sincerely,
The D&P Team
