We have been working on transplanting some trees and tidying up around the fields the past few weeks. It has been nice to see trees of all sizes growing!

Since we finished spring planting we have spent the past couple weeks at the farm watering all of the newly planted trees and then installing irrigation, a multiple step process that includes hooking up and laying orchard tubing and then installing emitters at each tree.

The irrigation has proven to be a valuable addition to all the trees we have planted at the farm so far, especially when drought conditions occur in Kentucky.

David and Will completed an auger project this week ahead of spring planting!

Using pictures from other tree farms, they built a trolley for our hand auger to make it easier to transport and reduce the strain on our hands and wrists when we hit a rock while planting. We will be testing it out soon.
