Quick trip to Bowling Green to score some metal roofing from a family member’s shed getting torn down. Didn’t take nearly as long as we feared!

We finally got updated pictures of our "main man"! Oscar is still looking for a new farm to call home. He is a 3.5ish year old intact, Kune Kune boar heterozygous for the wattle trait. He comes from registered stock but isn't registered himself. He has a great look and build to him, has sired several litters, and his piglets always come out very healthy. Since he was our favorite, he is the last of our herd to go. We are finally ready to part with him for less than ideal compensation. Meaning we are very motivated to move him. Contact us for more details. Harrodsburg, Ky.

EDIT: I am updating the availability as people place their orders.

We FINALLY finished processing all the honey and beeswax. Drumroll......we harvested 15.5 lbs of honey and 12oz of beeswax from the scrap comb we collected when we removed a beehive from a friend's camper!

We have limited honey available! All our our honey comes in GLASS jars with no annoying labels stuck to the jar that you have to goop-be-gone off. I have a thing for jars, okay. No judgement. $1 return for any jar you bring back!

4lb jar of honey (0 available): $60/each
1lb jar of honey (0 available): $16/each
1/2 lb jar of honey (4 available): $9/each

Can you process uncapped honey comb? We did! We made sure to test the water content of the honey. Finished honey should be 17-18% water content while uncapped honey can range up to the 20-22% water content. The higher water content makes it a risk for fermentation. While it’s perfectly safe to eat that honey, it’s best to store it in the fridge and eat it quickly. Looks like our honey was 17-18%, so it’s shelf stable! Check back in to see how much we get from the camper hive removal ❤️

We froze the scrap comb to kill the bees and then had to figure out how to filter everything without getting stung. Sheer curtains for the win!

Daddy built a new nesting box for the chickens, and they love it! Not one egg on the floor since he installed it a couple days ago. We put it on the wall so the kids can access them by climbing up on the fender and opening the door. It’s perfect!
