Our first Pyrenees momma, Latte, had 10!

Since this was not a planned liter, but rather we locked her up(to try and keep her closer to home!) with our male puppy when she was unknowingly in heat 🙃, I'm hoping not that many.

On that note: Dad is Pyrenees/Anatolian and Mom is Pyrenees, so we should have livestock guardian puppies for sale soon. They will be 3/4 Pyrenees, 1/4 Anatolian. Soo who needs a puppy for Christmas?!?!

*for guessing purposes: we have earliest puppy due date as today, she ate all her food this am, and has spent the whole day sleeping 🤣

There is just something about chicks on the farm! What a welcome sound this is!
We don't usually raise chicks this late in the year, but we're needing some new genetics so we figured why not.

I didn't hatch any chicks this year, bought a couple this spring to have fall layers and they ALL turned out to be roosters! 🙃

Soooo here's to hopefully all females this time....and new genes to add to the flock come spring.

I may have done a bad thing, and by bad...I mean really, really good!

I had no idea marshmallow fluff was this easy to make!!

3 egg whites
1/4tsp cream of tarter
3/4c honey
1/4 c water
2/3 c sugar

Beat the egg whites and cream of tarter until soft peaks form. Add honey, water, and sugar to a saucepan. Bring to a boil until it reaches 246 degress. Then slowly add to your egg whites (while mixer is on low). Once fully incorporated add a splash of vanilla and turn mixer on high. Beat until shiney and fluffy, this takes a bit a little less than 10 minutes! It should look like marshmallow fluff! Sticky, oogey, gooey goodness!!

Amazing on some homemade bread with peanut butter! Or on top of our hot cocoa or coffee! Or just eat a spoonful of it, I won't tell anyone.

When it's 5 o'clock and the kids are starrrving...

APPLE DUTCH BABY FOR THE WIN!

Comes together in less than 5 minutes, cooks for 15, and we are ready to eat!

And yes, they told me this was not enough 🫠🙃, so next time we will make 4🤦‍♀️ just over here feeding a small army.

Ingredients:
1/2 c milk
2 TBSP melted butter
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 TBSP sugar
1/2 c flour

Throw it all in the blender. Poor into a hot greased pan, Bake at 450 for 15 minutes. Top with fruit of your choice, and we sprinkle on some powdered sugar. Enjoy!

Extra stock clean out!

Rabbits:
2 female rabbits, both Angora cross (but only one has angora fur!)

3 male rabbits, Rex and New Zealand cross
*All rabbits are 3-4months old,

6 roosters:
2 Silver Laced Wyandotte
2 Golden Laced Wyandotte
2 White Leghorn

1 pet quality Dexter steer 16 months old
Decently friendly, but not in your pocket.

Protein balls!

These are great, and super easy to make. My kids beg for them weekly, and are one of the first breakfast items gone! We store them in the fridge in a covered container. They have never lasted longer than a couple days, but I'm sure they would keep for a week!

Ingredients:
3 c oats
4 TBSP chia seeds
3 TSBP protein powder
2 TBSP Flaxseed meal (I was out so they aren't pictured here)
2 c peanut butter
Honey to taste and stickiness!
Handful of mini chocolate chips.

Add everything to a bowl and mix until combined. If they are not holding together, add more honey. Shape into balls. Place on a pan and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Then move to a sealed container and store in the fridge!

Simple, and tasty!
