Every season has a vegetable that disappears before it makes it into dinner.

For us, it's snap peas.

We found the first few ready this week while checking the pea patch, and they didn't make it very far. There's something about that sweet crunch that makes them hard to resist.

The rain this weekend was welcome, too. The peas have been growing well, and a good soaking should help keep them coming.

The first snap peas of the season are now available on this week's Fresh List.

Market morning in South Haven.

Fresh lettuce mix, fresh dill, rainbow radishes, herbs, greens, and maple syrup are all on the table this morning.

And for the serious salad eaters, we've got 1 LB bags of our lettuce mix available this week too.

We'll be here until 2 PM today.

A customer favorite is back.

We harvested the first of our lettuce mix this week, and we'll have it available at the farm stand and market this weekend.

We'll also have fresh dill for the first time this season, along with arugula, Asian greens mix, baby kale, mizuna, tatsoi, rainbow radishes, peonies, and maple syrup.

We're in South Haven today with our lettuce mix, radishes, kale, mizuna, arugula, tatsoi, Asian mix, fresh herbs, maple syrup and our maple shortbread cookies.

Have you ever roasted radishes?

If you've only had them raw, roasted radishes might surprise you.

Roasting softens their sharp bite and brings out a sweeter, more mellow flavor.

This week we’ve been roasting halved radishes with olive oil, salt, and a pinch of granulated garlic, then finishing them with fresh dill or chives.

They’re especially good alongside greens, eggs, grilled chicken — or a big salad dinner.

Speaking of salads… this week we’re also welcoming two new additions to the Fresh List: fresh dill and our lettuce mix, a longtime customer favorite.

Market morning in South Haven.

This week’s harvest includes a mountain of rainbow radishes, fresh greens (including new 1 LB bags for greens lovers), herbs, vibrant pink peonies… and even a few tomato plants.  

We’ve got:
• Asian Greens Mix
• Arugula
• Baby kale
• Mizuna & tatsoi
• Fresh herbs
• Rainbow radishes
• Peonies
• Maple syrup & maple shortbread cookies

Plus a small selection of tomato plants including hybrid heirlooms, San Marzano, and cherry tomatoes.

The peonies opened this week.

Alongside fresh greens, radishes, herbs, maple syrup, and cookies, we'll also have the first peonies of the season at the farm stand and market this weekend.
