Okay y’all… 😂

I’m starting to think 1,000 followers by September 30th may not be happening. And honestly, that’s okay!

BUT… I said I’d do a giveaway if we hit 1,000, and I’ve decided I’m going to honor it anyway. ❤️

Today, while I was sitting with them, I witnessed the sweetest little moment. 🥹🤎

Fawn finds so much comfort in these sheep. Somehow, the sheep have become her shepherd. 🐑🤍

She follows them wherever they go. If they do something, she does it. If they’re calm, she’s calm. And if they decide something is okay… well, then Fawn knows it’s okay too.

And today, when she was feeling a little scared, Lyric reached his tiny little arm over and put it on her like, “It’s okay, girl. Don’t be scared. I’m right here.” 🥹

Animals amaze me. They aren’t dumb. They have relationships, they communicate, they comfort one another, and they understand so much more than we sometimes give them credit for.

Watching the bond between Fawn and these sheep has been something really special. 🤎🐑

Fawn update! She let me pet her today WITHOUT food AND walked up to me with the sheep while they got some loving. She usually hangs back and just stares at them horrified that they are letting me pet them 😂. But not today. She was a brave girl.

She’s still skittish and we have a lot more work to do, but I feel like today was a turning point of her finally realizing she’s safe here. ❤️
