IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS!
Joanne with Mendenhall Farm will be at the Carlisle Farmer's Market tomorrow with free range eggs and 100% grass fed beef! Come see us from 8:30-11:30 at the Wykoff Heating and Cooling parking lot. 95 Highway 5!

After that, Mendenhall Farm is taking a much needed BREAK and will NOT be at the farmer's market on July 18 or 25. So come tomorrow and stock up! We will be back on August 1!

Likewise, we will not be listed for the upcoming Iowa Food Cooperative cycle! However, you can find our beef at the store front on Franklin. 😁

Come on out tomorrow to the Carlisle Farmer's Market and pick up some delicious grass fed and finished beef cuts for your 4th of July BBQ!! The market will not be open on July 4th, so make sure to come out and stock up!

It was controlled burning day at the farm yesterday. Performing a controlled burn helps to clear thatch and weeds, but also helps to rejuvenate the pasture and can even awaken native grasses and forbes!

Note: It's always important to have water ready and available and proper knowledge on controlling a burn. You should not attempt this without proper precautions in place.
