Hartford Chaine des Rotisseurs Fine friends, fine food, fine wine. For those who enjoy the camaraderie and pleasures of the table, the Hartford Bailliage organizes about six events yearly.

For those who enjoy the camaraderie and pleasures of the table, "The Chaîne" provides ample opportunity on the local, regional, national, and international levels as an international gastronomic society. The Hartford Bailliage organizes approximately six events yearly in fine restaurants throughout the region. Themed evenings, black tie, and less formal occasions provide a range of pleasurable tab

les. On a regional and national level, members may join excursions, attend the national convention and share the activities of chapters elsewhere in the country when space permits. And, in thousands of Chaîne associated restaurants and hotels, both at home and abroad, members are welcomed as friends and recognized as diners who will appreciate any extra effort of the establishment or its staff.

Dear Friends – You are invited to the Hartford Bailliage Autumn 2024 Dinner and Induction. We will be inducting 3 new members.

When: November 10, 2024, 5:00 p.m.
Where: Metro Bis, Simsbury, CT
Dress: Black-tie (with ribbons) (inductees will get their ribbons that evening)
Cost: $210 per person ($160 without wine pairings)
Payment: via Venmo to or by check made out to Chaine des Rotisseurs and mailed to Gary Dunn, 161 Colton Road, Glastonbury, CT 06033. Please send payment by Nov. 1, 2024.

On June 1, 2024, Jenny Gardner and Garry Dunn graciously hosted the Hartford Chaine des Rotisseurs at their home for a wine and cheese event. The event was planned and organized by Dan Bryant, Vice Conseiller Gastronomique. The attendees were welcomed with a seasonally appropriate rose by Aix, which was served from a large-format “Methusalah” bottle. A lovely sparkling wine from Burgundy was also served.
Dan worked closely with the cheesemongers at The Cheese Shop of Centerbrook and Gary paired the wines for the following structured courses of cheese/wine. Delices de Bourgogne with Boyer-Martenot Meursault Cuvee Fernand Boyer 2021. Challerblocker with Schloss Gobelsburg Gruner Veltliner ‘Red Lamm’ 2021. Ewephoria with La Rioja Alta Grand Reserva ‘904’ Selecion Especial 2015. Kanaal with Corte Rugolin Amarone ‘Monte Danieli’ 2013. And Stilton with Huet Vouvray ‘Clos du Bourg’ Moelleux 2018.
Along with the delicious cheese and wine, great comradery was shared indoors and out by all.
