Today is Beef Day!

Come on out to the Washington County Fair for all sorts of fun beef-themed activities happening throughout the day! Be sure to stop by the Ag Center and enjoy a delicious beef sundae, made with all-local beef from many of the farmers who are here at the fair!

And if that isn’t enough, Juniper will be participating in the Jackpot Heifer Show this afternoon! We’re excited to get her back in the ring for another fun show!

There’s plenty to see and do today, so come spend the day celebrating beef and the amazing farmers who raise it! We hope to see you there!

The Beef Open Show was a huge success for us this year!

Juniper started the day off strong, placing 1st in her class of 14 Junior Heifer Calves! We then brought Galaxy and Juniper into the Cow/Calf Class, where they were awarded 1st place!

From there, we were brought back into the ring to compete against the other 1st and 2nd place Cow/Calf entries, and Galaxy and Juniper were named Senior Champion!

We then went on to win Breed Champion, earning us the opportunity to compete for All-Breed Champion. While we didn’t take home the All-Breed title, it went to another farm that brought some truly outstanding cattle, and we were honored to share the ring with them!

Overall, it was an incredible show day, and we couldn’t be more proud of Galaxy and Juniper. They both worked hard and made us proud!

Only TWO days left of the Washington County Fair!

Today is the Beef Open Show, and our girls Juniper and Galaxy will be hitting the show ring later today!

Come on down to the fair and check out all of the amazing cattle the Washington County Fair has to offer this year. There’s still plenty of time to stop by, say hi, and see these incredible animals in person!

It’s Thursday at the beautiful Washington County Fair, and today is Youth Show Day!

Today, our amazing youth exhibitors will take to the show ring to showcase their hard work, dedication, and the incredible beef cattle they’ve been raising and preparing all year.

Come out and support these hardworking young exhibitors, cheer them on, and help us celebrate all they’ve accomplished! We hope to see you at the fair today!

Happy Tuesday from the Washington County Fair! Our cows are freshly washed, fed, watered, and all settled in for another beautiful day at the fair.

This morning, we brought the girls over to the scale for the feeder and market animal weigh-in—not because they’re market animals, but just because we were curious to see how big our cows are!

Galaxy weighed in at an impressive 2,015 pounds, while little Juniper, at just 5 months old, weighed 708 pounds!

If you’re at the fair this week, come visit us in Barn 9! We’d love to see you, introduce you to the girls, and chat all things cows and farm life. We hope to see you!

Today is opening day at the Washington County Fair! We’re all settled in, and the cows are ready for a fun week at the fair! Come stop by and visit us in Barn 9 — we’d love to see you and show you the cows.

Farm déjà vu

There’s something special about raising the next generation and seeing those same traits come right back around the way they walk, their attitude, even the way they carry themselves on a lead. It’s like stepping back in time while moving forward at the same time.

This is why we do what we do. Good cows leave a mark, and Galaxy is proving that all over again through Juniper.
