🌼 How to make your blooms last longer! 🌼
1. Start with a clean vase! Be sure to wash with hot soapy water between bouquets.
2. Keep flowers out of direct sunlight.
3. Change your water every other day. Fresh cool water is the easiest way to extend vase life!
Some flowers are considered “dirty”. Once their stems are cut they release an enzyme into the water as a way of trying to heal themselves. This will cause your water to get cloudy and nasty and shorten the flowers vase life. So be sure to keep these flowers in fresh clean water!
The “dirty” flowers are amaranth, bachelor buttons, calendula, celosia, feverfew, marigolds, ornamental kale, snapdragons, stock, sunflower, yarrow, and zinnias.
