Today is a devastating day in Kelsey Meyers and my world as well as anyone that knows Thomas Schultz. A few hours ago, we found out that a fellow historical chef and close friend has moved on to the heavens. There aren’t enough words or emotions to express how much he will be missed. We saw him last weekend after a heavy push at work for our part one bachelor/bachelorette party, laughing and telling his stories of his culinary trips. Finding the right words to type are difficult to say the least, knowing not only won’t we see him Sunday for our weekly brunch, but also at our wedding or anytime after. I learned so much from him, and gained a really great friend over the years that can’t be replaced. He had a special way of bringing people together and making them feel as they were a part of the family right away. He was a very selfless and kind hearted person that you don’t come across too often and is a rare breed. Thomas was one of a kind in the culinary world, with his vast knowledge and true love of food and pairings. I’m honored to have gotten to know him and cherish not only food and wine with him, but also a friendship above all.

Tom, you may have left us in this world physically, but spiritually and mentally your right next to Kelsey and I til the end. You’ll be in our thoughts and prayers buddy.
