Saturday evening we welcomed our first ever little bull calf 🩵
An eventful afternoon of watching, waiting and monitoring, led to a panicked emergency vet call, ending in a miracle birth. When the vet arrived, his first words were “well this doesn’t look good”, and he quickly realized that what we thought was dark mucus was the calf’s tail hanging out. Little guy was breach and folded up like a taco! Thankfully, we got him pulled out in time and he’s been spunky ever since! Farm life reminds us all how fragile life and time can be. We’re so thankful this happened on a weekend while home and for the quick vet assistance.
