Yall! Went to check on babies and mommas in the coop. Baby chick laying on the floor, thought it was dead until I picked it up. Pixie must have left it as she was back in the nesting box!

Brought the baby inside and thought it didn’t have a chance as it was stretched out but then did some research and put a heat plate on it. It’s up and walking now. Just got to make sure it’s eating and drinking.

I am about to kick everyone off the nest and take some babies away. These mommas and babies are stressing me out! 😭

Raising chickens is hard at times. 😩

Came home from the pool after work to another momma out of the nesting box hopefully. THANK GOODNESS!

Y’all I need to sell chicks but these mommas are little butt heads! They don’t like me near them. 😩

I don’t want to take them all away but I don’t need to keep them all. 🫣

When doing events- what do you sell straight run silkies and satins for?
I’m trying to move chicks I don’t plan to keep to make room for more babies or just waiting to see what I plan to keep turns out to be and look like.

I am taking a break from hatching for a little bit to figure out what I need and what I want to keep from my hatchings.

I will be taking a break from hatching and focusing on building my flock up to provide and offer more next hatching season.
