We are saddened to announce the passing of Grandpa (Eli) Weaver.

Grandpa was the first of three generations of butchers in the Weaver family. He founded the original Weaver Deer Processing in 1992 in Orrville, Alabama.

Many batches of summer sausage and lots of great memories were made at Grandpa’s shop. Sharing hunting stories and lots of laughs in the deer drop-off area on any given weekend evening are fond memories we will always cherish.

Grandpa was a God-fearing man. His faith and love for Jesus were the most important parts of his life. He was a preacher of the Gospel for many years.

Grandpa was a family man. Countless meals were shared with friends and family around Grandpa’s large dining room table. Afternoon coffee breaks at Grandpa’s house were a highlight for his children and grandchildren.

Grandpa was a hardworking man, an honest man, a loyal man, a man full of humor and wit, and a great storyteller with a big laugh. But most importantly, Grandpa loved Jesus.

Please pray for the Weaver family as we lay him to rest.

🦌🏆 CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR TOP 10 BIG BUCK CONTEST FINALISTS! 🏆🦌

What an incredible day at The Southern Outdoorsmen hunters MeatUp and Big Buck Contest at Weaver Meat Processing! We had an outstanding turnout, great fellowship, and some truly impressive Alabama whitetails brought in for scoring.

A huge congratulations to the Top 10 contestants who brought in some absolute giants this season! These bucks represent the very best of the 2025/2026 Alabama deer season, and we are proud to showcase them.
