150 days! 🫪

I used to do evening garden chores with a glass of wine in hand every single night. That would be after polishing off a bottle or three before, during and after dinner.

Nowadays , it’s prebiotic protein soda! 🤍

i’m so very thankful and blessed to be here and to be sober and surrounded by abundance, beauty, and the life that I used to only dream of. 🤍

Some seasons feel heavy, quiet and altogether uncertain.
The kind where you question your progress and wonder why everything feels harder than it should.

I’ve been learning that feeling stuck doesn’t always mean you’re failing. Sometimes it means you’re tired, or you’ve outgrown old versions of yourself. Sometimes it means you need rest, not pressure.

Healing, growth, and rediscovering yourself rarely happen in big dramatic moments. Most of the time, it happens slowly…in tiny choices made day after day.

If you’re in a rut right now, you’re not alone. Keep going, seasons are meant to transform. 🤍

A year from now, the win won’t just be what I achieved. It will be who I became along the way.

My goal isn’t perfection, productivity, or proving anything to anyone. My goal is quieter and stronger than that.

Protect my peace, move with intention, and build a life that feels meaningful, gentle, and deeply my own. Choosing slow mornings over rushing, boundaries over burnout, and faith over fear. I’m choosing to live in a way that, when | look back, I’II feel proud of…not because everything was easy, but because I stayed true to myself through it all.

One year from now, I want to look back and smile at how far l’ve come. Not just in what l’ve done, but in how peacefully my family and I have lived.

There’s something special about slowing down at the end of the day…the last of the sunset stretching across the wild flower field, the sound of the birds settling in, little dog feet wandering beside me, and the feeling that for a moment, everything is exactly as it should be. Evening walks out here are a reminder of the simple kind of magic we were never meant to outgrow. 🤍

It happens every year.

The garden gets neglected to the point where I look at it and say “I’m so sorry! You WILL be gorgeous again!” Then the overwhelm sets in and we get to work. One bed, one w**d, one job at a time.

And every year I think to myself, nothing is going to grow. I haven’t given this what it needs and we’ll get nothing from the garden this year. (Insert sad music here!)

As if by miracle, she comes back to life every single year. We put blood, sweat and tears in, along with stinging sunburns and sore muscles, and she shows up more stunning than ever.

Don’t ever give up. Put in the hard work now so you can enjoy the rewards later! ❤️

And the pesky purslane?! It’s actually really good for you!

It is high in vitamins A, C, and E, as well as several B vitamins. It also contains essential minerals such as magnesium, potassium, and iron. It is one of the richest plant sources of omega-3 fatty acids which is beneficial for heart health. Purslane also contains antioxidants like vitamins C and E, betacarotene, and other compounds that may help reduce inflammation in the body, potentially benefiting conditions such as arthritis.

Because it is a good source of dietary fiber, which can aid digestion and promote gut health, we’ll let it grow then harvest to use in salads!
