I am at church having breakfast with Santa and the hubby sends me pictures of babies born this morning. Total surprise! I really thought we had a couple of weeks.

My attempt at homemade bread (without a mix or bread machine) was a great success. I am so giddy over how well these turned out.

When I think homesteading, I think cooking from scratch. Last night I was feeling pretty good about where I was with my homework, so I made a Dutch apple pie. Completely from scratch, crust and all. It was amazing!!
