Peony season is here! And it is overlapping with some of the later Lilacs! Very fun.

Also, while I am posting, I would like to make a quick note on pricing: yes our pricing is shifting -I am working hard to keep our business sustainable. But here is something many of you maybe are not aware of: flowers are taxed at the full sales tax rate, and that is included in our price. In Woodstock and Crystal Lake, for example, the sales tax on. $30 bouquet is $2.55. In Chicago it is $3.10.

What a weekend! A wedding (Starline and Rush Creek Distilling), a rehearsal dinner in the barn, a Celebration of Baptism, also at the barn —Not to mention a few hundred bouquets going to market! Our crew from Mexico arrived yesterday. (Thank goodness!) Still waiting on Lloyd from South Africa, but we are live!
Now I am off to check on the corn….
