Today was bittersweet, after much wrestling with myself, we made the decision to find a new home for my food cart. It was a journey that helped me meet the people in my community and feed people♥️. It was a chapter that taught me a great deal and blessed me with smiles from everyone I had the pleasure to feed. So today ends this chapter, I sold my food cart and as it drove away, I am excited to see the joy it will be bringing to her new home- she is moving to New England(yes North Dakota) and already has a spot reserved for the New Salem Fair in 2027 - with her new home comes a new name - from Fork2Field to the Hungry Heifer!!! I am excited to see what great food she will serve!! I am grateful to have had this chapter!!! Now what can I find to get in too????🤣🤣

Floral Charcuterie Board Recipe (Cheese & Salami Roses)🌹🧀 🤍

Ingredients
• Semi-soft cheese (Havarti, Gouda, or Mozzarella block)
• Thinly sliced salami (or similar cured meat)
• Cheese sticks or sliced cheese (same or complementary cheese)
• Heart-shaped or plain crackers
• Fresh herbs or edible greens (optional)
• Baby’s breath flowers or edible flowers (optional, for decoration)
• Wooden round board

Instructions

1. Make the Cheese Rose (Centerpiece)
1. Cut the cheese into very thin, flexible slices.
2. Slightly warm the slices (room temperature works best).
3. Roll one slice tightly to form the center.
4. Wrap additional slices around it, overlapping slightly, until you form a full rose.
5. Place the cheese rose in the center of the board.

2. Make the Salami Roses
1. Fold or roll each slice of salami into a loose spiral.
2. Shape them to resemble rose petals.
3. Secure with gentle pressure (or place inside small ramekins to hold shape).
4. Arrange the salami roses evenly around the cheese rose.

3. Arrange the Board
1. Place cheese sticks radiating outward from the center.
2. Add rolled salami slices between the cheese sticks.
3. Place crackers symmetrically, alternating shapes for visual interest.
4. Fill gaps with herbs or edible flowers for a refined look.

Update: Due to the inability to reach our minimum attendance number for the Halloween Murder Mystery event this Saturday we will unfortunately be cancelling the event. We will try again next year and see if we can get more interest.🎃
We are sorry for the disappointment, we hope to offer other events in the coming months that are not so detailed oriented for success. Thank you to all who signed up and showed interest.
