June 6th, 2026

We are open for asparagus and rhubarb sales again this Saturday, June 6th 10-12 noon. Additionally we will have the first picking of strawberries available for sale pre-picked on Saturday. This is just the begining so there will not be many. But with the warm weather, berries will start ripening quickly, so I anticipate PYO will start early next week. As always the season begins in start and stop fashion. I will have regular updates on the strawberries shortly. Aspargus sales are located at our stand on Rt 72, located one mile south on Rt 72 from the Rt 4 intersection. This will be the last Satuday at our Rt 72 stand before we move to our locust road strawberry fields site. The strawberry crop as it stands now is in excellent condition, and I anticipate that it will be one of our best crops in a few years weather permitting of course. We look forward to seeing everyone again soon.

Welcome to spring! We are planning to open up for asparagus and rhubarb sales on Saturday, May 9th 10-12 noon. The freeze of last week has set back the opening a little bit, but otherwise, the farm is off to a good start this year. Our strawberry crop looks good and is right where it should be for this time of year. The good news is that we shoudl be able to pick the asparagus longer into strawberry season. More details will come as we progress forwards. We look forward to seeing everyone again soon.

We will be open this unpcoming weekend Friday 10-5, and Saturday and Sunday 9-5 for all of those who still need a tree. The weather is finally going to warm up and melt our ice problem away. We will be open at our pumpkin stand and we will guide you from there. We still have a nice selection of trees. The directions tab of our website will get you to our fields. All trees are priced at $75, sales tax included in that price. The only difference will be that we are charging extra for baling/netting trees ($5). Cash only please. Dogs are welcome on leash.

Weather update:

Unfortunately we are closed until conditions change, as dangerously icy conditions in our fields have not improved yet. I was hoping things would clear up for the weekend but they have not. I know not all of you are coming from locations that have bad ice, but at 1000 feet of elevation our farm is iced in. If there is an improvement I will announce it here. This is the first time in our long history of selling Christmas trees we have had to close because of ice. Looking forwards next week temperatures are going to finally moderate mid week and I hope that we can reopen for the last week of the season.

The schedule this week for tree sales is Thursday 12-5, Friday 10-5, and the weekend 9-5. Our selection of Christmas trees continues to be excellent, bring your family and friends! We have Fraser fir, balsam fir, blue spruce and concolor fir. We will have multiple points of access on the street again like previous years. The biggest selection, including most of our fir trees, is in the fields behind our pumpkin stand. The selection at 91 Terryville Road expands this year with many blue spruce and some fir trees. Customers that are new to the farm should start at our pumpkin stand and staff can guide you. The directions tab of our website will get you to our fields. All trees are priced at $75, sales tax included in that price. The only difference will be that we are charging extra for baling/netting trees ($5). As our costs to grow trees continue to rise, we are trying to keep the price of trees unchanged from last year for the benefit of our customers by charging up for extras only. The walk along the Tree Trail to find your perfect tree is beautiful, and the upcoming season should be the best yet with additional fields ready. There are thousands to choose from, bring your family and friends! As always dress for the outdoors. No tagging. Cash only please. Dogs are welcome on leash.
