Deeply Rooted Farms LLC, is a family-run farm that grows quality strawberries, gourds, winter squash and pumpkins, and also home to a second generation choose-and-cut Christmas tree farm.

In the next couple of weeks our fall raspberries will begin to come in and they look really good this year. As you can see from the pictures, the plants are loaded with green fruit now that is just begining to ripen. We have expanded the patch, so we will be able to open up for raspberry PYO ahead of our pumpkin picking opening. I anticipate we will open for raspberry picking in two weeks or so. The run down of the fall season for us is we will be open for raspberry picking soon, probably sunflower PYO starting then too. Mid to late September we will open for pumpking picking with a format similar to last year. And new and exciting, we will also have a corn maize for this fall as well. Raspberries, sunflowers, pumpkins and the corn maize will all be at our Rt 72 stand, where our fall business has been in the past. More details will come shortly as we approach the start of fall raspberries.

We are now sold out on the black raspberries a little sooner than I thought. We will be closed now until the fall season begins which will start with more raspberries at the end of the summer.

We are open this weekend, Saturday and Sunday 9-12 noon for black raspberry sales this week at our stand on Rt 72. We have an excellent supply as this week will be the peak of the black raspberry season. Black raspberry season is short, lasting about 10 days and will be over shortly. Prices are $6 per half pint and discounts are available for flats as we have so many. Black raspberries are easy to freeze, just pour into the freezer bag. Then they can be used for jam, smoothies and baking later when time allows. We have switched back to our stand on Rt 72 as strawberry season is now over. It is located 1 mile south from the Rt 4 intersection

We will be open for black raspberry sales this Wednesday and Thursday 9-12noon and Saturday and Sunday 9-12noon this weekend. We will be open at our stand on Rt 72. This is now the peak of the black raspberry season. Prices are $6 per half pint and discounts are available on flats. The farm was hit hard by the storm so my communication has been spotty. Strawberry season is now over so we switch back to our Rt 72 stand. It is located 1 miles south from the RT 4 intersection.

We are open for PYO today, Saturday 9-12 noon for the final day of strawberries. Happy 4th of July and 250th birthday for this great country! We are down to the ends for strawberry picking but have a good supply now of pre-picked black raspberries which are excellent. This will be our final day at the locust road site for the season. Berry size has now fallen as we are at the end of the season, but flavor and sweetness is excellent. It has been a condensed, but very good season this year. We are done with pre-picked strawberries now as all the supply is being turned over to PYO. Next week we will flip back too our Rt 72 stand to sell the black raspberries, I will anounce the schedule shortly.

We provide containers for picking. The prices are as follows: $15 for the small container, $22 for the medium, and $58 for the big box which holds approximately 12 pounds. Please no dogs. If you are traveling far or headed out for other stops after picking we recommend putting your berries in a cooler to keep them fresh. Either cash or credit accepted. We supply all picking containers please don't bring your own unless you are reusing ours from last year. We recommend appropriate footwear for the farm. A note on directions, third party sites like Apple and Google have their own sets of directions and hours that we have a hard time managing, they tend to make up thier own minds on what our business is. Please use directions and hours provided directly from us on our website. In the AI world we now live in there is a lot of bad information out there.

Based on how the crop is doing we are going to keep the PYO strawberry open through Friday, short hours, 9-12 noon. Berry size has now fallen as we are at the end of the season, but flavor and sweetness is excellent. It has been a condensed, but very good season this year. We are done with pre-picked strawberries now as all the supply is being turned over to PYO. Pre-picked black raspberries and blueberries are starting to come in so we will have them at the stand for sale as they ripen. It is just the start of the black raspberries, next week there will be large quanity and I will come up with a schedule, shortly. We are open at our LOCUST ROAD site for berry picking. Directions are on the website.

We are open for PYO today, Wednesday 9-1. Hours are shortend due to the hours for the rest of the week as high temperatures are predicted. We are now in the last week of the season and the last wave of berries are ripening up. I think that tomorrow, Thursday will be the last day as the high heat forecast Thursday afternoon might be to much for the patch at the end of the season, we will have to see. Either way this is the last week. Berry size has now fallen as we are at the end of the season, but flavor and sweetness is excellent. It has been a condensed, but very good season this year. We are done with pre-picked strawberries now as all the supply is being turned over to PYO. We will start to have a few pre-picked black raspberries at the stand today for sale.
